CONDITIONS OF STAY:

Guests must be 18+ with valid passport I.D and credit card on arrival// Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person// Late check ins MUST be prearrange prior to check in// Mooloolaba Backpackers has a 48 hour cancellation policy (Our policy is that in order to receive a refund of pre-paid accommodation fees, or not be charges for a ‘no show’, a guest must provide a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation)

GROUPS:

Mooloolaba backpackers is equipped to host groups- Please email us directly for group enquiries (over 6 people) as web bookings will not be accepted

HOUSE POLICIES:

Check out : is strictly required at 10am- late check outs will have a late check out fee of $10 per person applied to their account if not pre-approved from management

Check in:  is 2pm. We have a luggage room for all guests to use(accepting their own risk and liability for their belongings) if they arrive prior to check in time. After hours (7pm-1am) check-ins need to be pre-organised with reception and night staff.

We require  a $10 door key deposit on arrival, which is refunded in full once the door key is returned in working condition.

Fire alarm activation- Please note that the activation od hostel fire alarms (caused by a guests negligence or non-compliance with hostel rules) will incur a $1500.00 penalty fee from the Queensland Fire & Rescue department. This is an incidental charge which will be charged to the credit card supplied by the particular guest at fault.

Evacuation procedures:  A copy of the hostel’s fire and emergency evacuation plan is displayed in each room. Guests should  familiarize themselves with the evacuation points and routes within the hostel.

Alcohol– Mooloolaba Backpackers is a GLASS FREE hostel, for the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Any glass bottles bought into the hostel will be confiscated by reception and returned to the guest on departure. Please only bring consumables into the hostel that are stored in can and plastics containers only.

Kitchens and common areas close at 9:30 pm + the hostel has a street wide noise curfew at 10pm

We are a DRUG free hostel. Anyone seen to be under the influence or providing will be referred to local police and evicted from the hostel immediately without refund. We do not tolerate theft, excessive mess and have a, what aussies like to call a ‘no dickhead’ policy. Everyone is here to have an amazing Sunshine Coast experience, please respect that.  Excess cleaning fee’s or damage fee’s may be quoted and applied to a guests account, on a case-by-case basis.

Christmas + New Years Eve. – Reception opening hours may vary over the Public Holidays. We have a 3 night minimum stay from the 23rd December 2016- 4th January 2017 //  with a 72 hour written cancellation notice // Groups (6+ people) must book in advance directly, with a  20% non- refundable deposit. Subject to a 7 day written cancellation notice. If a group does not provide 7 days’ notice of cancellation, they are liable for the full amount of their accommodation invoice.
